Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was lovely. The rooms, located in what seemed to be a stable block in the past, were cozy and well-furnished, featuring a very comfortable bed and seating. The courtyard setting at the back of the pub and away from the road added to the charm. The service by the staff, though friendly and helpful, had a minor hiccup with a refund due to all guests arriving simultaneously. The location, tucked away quietly at the back, was great for exploring Shropshire and the surrounding countryside, despite a slight confusion about the room's exact placement. Dining, without breakfast included, still offered excellent cooked choices, even though some items seemed a bit reheated. Overall, the hotel offers good value for money with its nice facilities.
My stay at the hotel was a pleasant experience overall. The rooms were spacious and nicely decorated, with a huge bathroom, but the setting could have been improved. The service was good, although there was a delay in adjusting our wine order. The location was convenient for exploring nearby sites, but it would have been helpful to know about restaurant closures in advance. The dining options were enjoyable, especially the homemade dishes.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were very warm and comfortable, especially appreciated during freezing weather. I was pleasantly surprised with an upgraded room, number 160, which was spacious, clean, and welcoming. The tea/coffee tray had everything I needed, and the bathroom was fantastic with a heated towel rail. However, I wish I had been informed about the issue with something before my arrival.
